Spiritually fit: train the part nobody sees
January 26, 2026 · 4 min read
“For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things.”
1 Timothy 4:8
The 1LP prayer is a training plan. Train my mind. Train my soul. Jesus you're in full control. Train my body. Make me whole. Three fronts, one purpose, and only one of them shows up in a mirror.
Nobody claps for the unseen work. There is no personal record for reading scripture on a morning you did not feel like it, no leaderboard for forgiving somebody quietly. Which is exactly why it is training and not performance.
The gym teaches the principle better than a sermon does: nothing changes in the session you were most excited about. It changes in the repeated, boring, unwitnessed ones. Godliness works the same. Show up on the ordinary days.
And notice the order in the prayer. Control is surrendered in the middle of it, before the body ever gets mentioned. You are not training to prove you are strong. You are training because He is in full control and you would like to be useful.
That is what Spiritually Fit means on a piece of 1LP. Not a flex. A commitment worn where people can see it, about work they cannot.
